  1. you dumb ducks. its not even viable for a REMASTER… its just too up to date for that. clearly the “REMASTERED” is just an idiot bait.

    • ?

    • Agreed. Those so-called REMASTERED releases for new movies are more like ALTERNATIVE CUSTOM COLORS done by an encoder called SWTYBLZ. He’s the only one who does them.

    • @Dexter I partially agree with you
However the ‘remastered’ releases weren’t made using ‘custom color’ like you said
Some encoders have been doing this type of release, not only SWTYBLZ
Only they doesn’t put ‘REMASTERED’ tag, but ‘UHD 1080p’ (which it’s actually still doesn’t make sense. 1080p UHD?)

The color detail was converted from 4K UHD HDR releases into SDR, so those people who cannot play HDR content can still ‘experience’ HDR-like quality using their old setup. If you buy/play RAW UHD-HDR content, the color you get will be the same as this ‘remastered’ release

You can see comparison between regular bluray and UHD bluray here https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x=524&y=198&d1=11933&d2=11932&s1=117691&s2=117688&l=0&i=10&go=1

  2. BayHarborButcher, do you know what software these encoders use to convert HDR movies to SDR and produce the same colors as a 4K TV does for UHD Blurays? Is it exactly the same colors? All they say is that they use some thing called tripple mixed Hable-Reinhard-JJ and I can’t find anything on that

    • So no answer huh? I take it the admin has no clue what it is either and is too proud to admit he doesn’t know. And I doubt those color converted encodes look exactly like 4K TVs naturally display them. Has to be a slight difference.

    • Ok you can take any assumption as you want. And remember to be upset.

    • I’m not upset, just disappointed in you. Smh

    • the conversion wasn’t done by software but by script. It is very complicated to explain.
